Fans/Sportsmanship And Conduct At Games
By definition, sportsmanship relates to a person who can take a loss or defeat without complaint, or a victory without gloating; one who treats the opponent with fairness, courtesy, and respect. The conduct of coaches, players, cheerleaders and fans generally sets the tone for all games. They will be expected to maintain the highest level of decorum at all athletic games. At all extracurricular activities, the president reserves the right of discretion involving appropriate player/ parent/ cheerleaders dress or appearance.

In order that the youth program continues to be an educational tool, fans (spectators), like other groups, need to be cognizant of the necessity for good sportsmanship and the means by which it is attained.

There is absolutely no place in San Joaquin Jr. Rams Program for the use of alcoholic beverages or chemical substances.
San Joaquin Jr. Ram’s fan/spectators are expected to:

· Discourage any dishonest or unsportsmanlike conduct.
· Treat all participants with respect.
· Be gracious in victory and accept defeat with dignity.
· Not engage in disrespectful conduct including profanity, obscene gestures, and offensive remarks of a sexual nature, trash talking, taunting, boastful celebrations or other actions that demean individuals or the sport.
· Treat game officials with respect.
· Let the coach’s coach.
· Display respect for all other spectators.
· Exercise self-control.
· Listen to and obey the requests of the public address announcer and all security personnel in attendance

A prerequisite of good sportsmanship requires one to understand their own bias or prejudice and to have the ability to recognize that rational behavior is more important than the desire to win. A proper perspective must be maintained if the potential educational values of athletic competition are to be realized. Good sportsmanship is concerned with the behavior of all involved in the game

Parent Code of Conduct
Jr. Ram’s parents are expected to:

Let the coaches coach.
Consistently exhibit good character and conduct yourself as a positive role model.
Support the program.
Encourage communication between your athlete and the coach.
Be loyal to the organization and team; put the interests of the team above your child's personal glory.
Teach your child to live and play with class and be a good sport.
Treat game officials with respect.
Support the concept of "being a team player first."
Remember that participation in sports is a privilege, not a right.

Teach your child to avoid temptations to gain competitive advantage
through improper gamesmanship techniques that violate the highest
traditions of sportsmanship.

Abide by and support the parent/player handbook.

The rules, policies and procedures set forth in the San Joaquin Jr.
Rams parent/player handbook will be upheld and enforced by the Board members and coaching staff.

Game Times

It is the responsibility of each parent to have their child(ren)at the games 1hrs 15 min prior to kick off times. If her/she is late to game it is the coaches discretion on
whether they will be allowed to participate in that days event.
Missed Practice
Players who missed one day of practice in a week may not be eligible to in that weeks game, but are required to attend the game to help support the team.
Parent Coach communication
As a reminder, parents should insure that all communication with coaches are brought to his/her attention at the following practice not after, before or during a game.
